As I reflected on what was said about the importance of relationships, and the need to "not be preachy" I agree that the Church has probably failed to a great extent in these areas. The mandate in Eph 4:15 comes to mind, "speaking the truth in love...". The point I would like to make is that it requires both love and speaking the truth. As one put it, ' People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care'. Building relationships and truly caring about people is important and speaking the truth without caring is often ineffective. Even so, caring without sharing the truth is equaly ineffective. Many will find the truth offensive, yet we are called to be whitnesses. Yes, as a Church we have fallen short in caring for the people of the world and the most caring thing we can do is share the Gospel and let the Holy Spirit work on their heart. The only thing you could possibly do is take a screenshot and expand it to see if there's anything else. I'd help you with this, but... what would be the fun in that? David Kristin,
